Every early spring we normally catch some really nice walleye by mistake fishing steelhead during the spring steelhead run because walleye spawn just in front of the steelhead. But in over 30 years fishing the Muskegon river I’ve never seen one

Washed out….
The Muskegon is currently running above normal for this time of year. Water temps are hovering in the upper 60’s and the trout bite has slowed due to the warmer temps. Early in the morning seems to be the best time for trout action on the Muskegon river.
