THE DETAILS Big Spring Creek, Lewistown, MT Saturday, July 24, 1993 A warm, wet day. Began with sunshine around noon, but soon it started to rain and never let up. Tried downstream from the state access at Scott Crossing. Briefly hooked one and saw three others jump in the flat area about 200 yards downstream. Seems to be lots of good holes and it's very wadeable. Some folks there said upstream from the access is even better. I didn't try because of the rain. Also drove to the trestle access. This spot looked great but I saw two funnel clouds far off in the distance heading my way. Probably worth going back to, although the drive there is boring and takes nearly 2 hours from Great Falls.
